The Boot

Our journey began when you took your first step
Caressed by soft leather, tiny toes to protect.

Next came running, then climbing so high just to see
How far you would travel, just you and me. 

Hikes through the forest along well-travelled trails,
Your dog by your side, wagging his tail.

We trekked up the mountains then down to the sea.
No rocks, dirt or concrete ever stopped me.  

Hard work on the job brought scuffs, scrapes and splits
but these wounds on the leather didn’t matter a bit. 

As you sit on the porch with your dog by your side,
these weary old boots bring a smile to your eyes.

Plant Birds

Each is mounted on a 12” stick which can be cut to desired height.

Balancing Eagle

The Eagle is carved in Basswood and easily balances on your fingertip. Feather details are burnt onto the wings, using a technique called Pyrography before being painted. The stands are made from other types of wood and are included.
